Solving Bluetooth Device Driver Issues

Bluetooth devices have become increasingly popular in today's market because of their ability to allow commonly incompatible devices (such as phones and computers) to communicate with each other.
Bluetooth devices allow users to transfer data such as photos' and music instantly form one device to another with very little effort. There are even printers that have Bluetooth functionality now, and it appears that everywhere you turn there is a new device incorporating the use of Bluetooth technology.
Bluetooth technology is derived form infrared technology, which has been around for many years.
Even though Bluetooth has offered countless people convenience like no other, many individuals experience problems when linking two devices together.
Drivers are like translators that let foreign devices communicate with one another efficiently. If your device drivers are damaged, outdated or are incorrectly installed then you will experience problems. To fix these issues refer to information below:
Installing a Bluetooth Driver
When you buy a Bluetooth product from the store, it comes equipped with a CD that contains the device driver software. To install it you'll need to insert it into your disc drive with your computer powered on.
When you insert the disc the software should launch automatically on it's own. After you are greeted with an installation wizard, follow the instructions given thoroughly. At the end of the installation you may need to restart your computer for the changes to take place.
If you do not have the disc that came with your Bluetooth device then you may be able to locate the drivers automatically with Windows if your operating system is updated. If you want to update your operating system you will need a connection to the internet, then go to the Start menu and do a search for "Windows Update." Once you have updated your operating system, you can attempt to connect the Bluetooth device to your computer.
In order for your Bluetooth device to connect with your computer, you will need to make sure that both your computer and the Bluetooth device has Bluetooth enabled and they are both in discovery mode. Once you have enabled Bluetooth on both devices, do a search for nearby devices in Windows or on the Bluetooth device.
The devices should find each other and prompt you to pair them. Follow the on-screen instructions and then watch for a message to appear in the bottom right corner of Windows. Click the box that appears ot check the status of your driver installation.
Updating Bluetooth Drivers
In some cases your driver may be obsolete or outdated, in which case you would need to download the updated version of the driver. You can usually find the updated drivers at the website of the manufacturer for the Bluetooth device. If you are unable to locate the drivers on the manufacturers website you can do a web search for the drivers based on the model name/number of your Bluetooth device. Most drivers can be downloaded and installed within a matter of minutes.
